How Our Social Interactions Can Affect Our School Life
Have you ever been told by your guardian that your social life wasn't important compared to your education or that you need to focus more on school? We have.
Although their intentions are good, parent's and guardian's ways of thinking can be flawed. Our parents are basically teaching us that in order to achieve success, we must completely abandon our social life. The students who heed this advice and try to avoid interacting with other students may begin to view their fellow peers as "distractions" towards their education. This type of behavior promotes negative social development and, in turn, can lead to negative learning. Contrary to what others might say, research has shown that our social interactions with our peers can promote positive learning. |
